Happy Mother’s Day! Our May First Friday features the art of LuAnn Ostergaard and her son Joseph Rastovich. Both are inspired by metal and open spaces. LuAnn begins by photographing corroding metal and worn cement walls. She then takes the unusual colors and shapes from her initial images and lays them over photos of trees and other landscapes creating in the process striking collages. Joseph works directly with iron creating functional art including tables and lamps as well as outdoor art that involve unusual shapes and open spaces. Mother and son, kindred spirits, support and build on one another’s interests and talents in the only way a mother and son can do. Show continues through the month of May.
