In May 1873, a bustling carnival enlivens a small fishing village on the rocky New England coastline. Charming but troubled Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan, a quiet girl who works in the mill, fall in love, marry and have a stormy relationship that leads to tragedy and an attempt at mending old wounds from beyond the grave. Songs include “June is Busting Out All Over,” “If I Loved You,” and the beautiful “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
