Located at the Spokane Community College the Avista Canter for Entrepreneurship offers a new and innovative approach to help connect technical talents with entrepreneurial skills. The program is designed for students who have a great idea for a business but need to learn about the practical aspects of starting and running a company. This three-quarter program focuses on creating hands on opportunities to learn while also allowing students to make connections in the business community.
Provides entrepreneurship assistance to local start-ups. Startup Spokane offers early one-on-one free assistance to all companies launching in the Inland Northwest, making sure they have the tools they need to succeed. A Startup Spokane adviser will sit down with you, learn where you are in your startup journey, and make sure you are connected to the right people, programs and community resources that will give you the edge you need.
Funded through the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Washington State University SBDC provides assistance to small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs. SBDC advisors provide owners a variety of free business consulting and low-cost training services including: business plan development, manufacturing assistance, financial packaging and lending assistance, exporting and importing support, disaster recovery assistance, procurement and contracting aid, market research help, 8(a) program support, and healthcare guidance.
