SUMMARY:Sally Graves Machlis and Delphine Keim - TRAVERSING
DESCRIPTION:The City of Spokane Arts Commission is pleased to present Traversing\, an exhibition by Idaho artists Sally Graves Machlis and Delphine Keim at the Chase Gallery in Spokane City Hall. The exhibition will be on view September 4 – October 30\, 2026\, with a free public opening reception on September 4th from 5:00-8:00 pm. \nPainter\, Sally Graves Machlis\, and graphic designer\, Delphine Keim\, combine their sensibilities within their mixed media work. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet Machlis and Keim and learn more about the stories and processes behind their collaborative work. There will also be poets from the Teen Poetry Cohort at Spark Central reading their work throughout the evening.

She explores the play of light and dark\, warm colors against cool\, intense next to muted\, and hard edges relating to soft edges; all effects that express the beauty of the scene and cause the eye to move around the painting. \nStop by the gallery in the Liberty Building this October to see their work ~ come by First Friday on Oct 2nd from 5-8pm to meet the artists!
