SUMMARY:Sally Graves Machlis and Delphine Keim - TRAVERSING
DESCRIPTION:The City of Spokane Arts Commission is pleased to present Traversing\, an exhibition by Idaho artists Sally Graves Machlis and Delphine Keim at the Chase Gallery in Spokane City Hall. The exhibition will be on view September 4 – October 30\, 2026\, with a free public opening reception on September 4th from 5:00-8:00 pm. \nPainter\, Sally Graves Machlis\, and graphic designer\, Delphine Keim\, combine their sensibilities within their mixed media work. The artists invite reflection through ambiguity\, validation\, and even dismay. The work focuses on the commonalities that we all share and explores environmental\, social and personal issues. \nBoth artists are scheduled to be present during the September 4th First Friday reception at the Chase Gallery. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet Machlis and Keim and learn more about the stories and processes behind their collaborative work. There will also be poets from the Teen Poetry Cohort at Spark Central reading their work throughout the evening.

SUMMARY:The Liberty Gallery presents "Form and Flux" in Nov ~ Collaborative Art by Jesse Re & CJ Morrison!
DESCRIPTION:This Nov the Liberty Gallery will feature collaborative art by Jesse Re & CJ Morrison in a show called “Form and Flux”. This collection explores what can emerge when two artistic perspectives meet in a shared creative process. Natural wood grain\, symmetrical geometry\, and fluid acrylic paints converge in compositions shaped by both intention and chance. \nThe two artists have collaborated for the last 5 years\, entrusting parts of the process to one another\, allowing each work to become something neither could have created alone. \nStop by the Liberty Gallery in the Historic Liberty Building this November to see their striking work ~ stop by the First Friday Reception on Nov 6th from 5-8pm to Meet the Artists!

SUMMARY:Critical Infrastructure at Terrain Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Museum and gallery directors\, nonprofit arts organization founders\, art teachers\, and other local arts advocates have made a life of showcasing the art of others\, while their own work is rarely seen. This exhibition challenges its participants to make new work\, providing space to honor the creative talents that led them to these careers. It also highlights the breadth of our regional arts ecosystem\, offering a chance to meet and connect with the stewards of our growing arts community. Prepare to experience a range of works in clay\, mixed media sculpture\, painting\, printmaking\, photography and more. Each participant’s work is united in the theme that they don’t make art to make a living\, yet they are immersed in art and with artists every day\, which is a unique perspective. \nOrganized by long time artist\, arts educator and journalist Carrie Scozzaro\, Critical Infrastructure includes the work of Ali Blackwood (Inlander)\, Ali Shute (Coeur d’Alene Arts & Culture Alliance – retired)\, Ann Saberi (Jordan Schnitzer Museum WSU)\, Brooke Shelman Wagner\, (Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture)\, Chelsea Cordova (artist; co-founder\, Front Room Gallery and co-manager\, Marmot Art Space)\, Eva Silverstone (The Hive / Spokane Public Libraries)\, Jeni Riplinger (founder of Emerge)\, Jennifer LaRue (manager\, Kolva-Sullivan Gallery)\, John Fullmer (Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture)\, Katie Patterson Larson (founder\, Art Salvage)\, Kelly Baker (KB Consulting; co-founder\, Front Room Gallery and co-manager\, Marmot Art Space)\, Kelsey Cook (Spokane International Academy)\, Kristin Becker (Jordan Schnitzer Museum WSU)\, Megan Cherry (Moscow Public Arts)\, Rob Worstell (Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture) and Shawn Gunnier (Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture). \nIn addition to its opening night\, which coincides with First Friday\, Critical Infrastructure is scheduled to run through October 31st and will be open FREE to the public every Thursday\, Friday and Saturday from 4pm – 7pm at 628 N Monroe St\, Spokane\, WA 99201.
