SUMMARY:Decade: Celebrating 10 Years of VMD
DESCRIPTION:We hope you will join us for Decade\, an eclectic performance which simultaneously honors the past and anticipates the future. \nThis season marks the tenth season of Vytal Movement Dance. The evening will feature six very special pieces from the past ten years highlighting past collaborations with local choreographers\, composers\, and musicians. The evening will also feature the premiere of two new works including a new piece choreographed by Jess Berto\, Artistic Director of Andiamo Dance in Ketchikan\, Alaska. \nThis concert will also be the directorial swan song for Artistic Director Lexie Powell. Since stepping into the role in 2023\, Lexie has led the company through a time of great growth and change. With clarity of vision and a focus on collaboration\, she has created new opportunities for company artists as well as welcoming guest artists from within Spokane’s growing dance community and beyond.
