The October 6th First Friday exhibit at Hamilton Studio is “Beguiling the Eyes,” the photography of Alan Nelson. Mr. Nelson’s work includes forty photographs of the natural world; abstract and political images; and ‘installations and collages’ which Mr. Nelson has assembled for the camera. Alan says, “I believe that for a photograph to be worthwhile, an image must catch and beguile the eye of the viewer. It should cause that person to question, explore, and reflect on, the meaning of things as he or she sees them.” Alan has resided in Spokane the past seven years, involving himself in a variety of photography, writing and music projects. He previously exhibited at Object Space Gallery, in 2019.
