On Thursday, April 27, from 4-6 p.m. at West Central Community Center (1603. N. Belt St., Spokane, WA 99205) NEWESD 101’s Safe Communities partnership invites community members of all ages to share their thoughts and questions related to building safer neighborhoods in East Central Spokane. Discussion topics will include: domestic and youth gang violence, diversity, equity and mental health.
Created in 2020, the Safe Communities Partnership offers youth gang prevention, intervention, employment training, career development, positive social and recreational spaces, and referral services to local opportunity youth (ages 18 and younger).
