The Fig Tree Benefit Lunch will be hybrid — in person at the Globe Room, Cataldo Hall, Gonzaga U. or online. With the theme of “Sharing Resources; Transforming Lives,” we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of our highly valued Resource Directory: Guide to Congregational and Community Resources! Malcolm Haworth, directory editor, will speak, as will Mary Stamp, who worked on it before The Fig Tree became independent and added it to its publications. Nicole Bishop of SNAP, Oscar Harris of Spokane Public Schools, Lynn Kimball of ALTCEW and Johnny Edmundson of Growing Neighbors will describe how they use the directory to connect clients, teachers, students and volunteers with resources to change their lives. The benefit will provide funding for The Fig Tree newspaper, the annual Resource Directory, its website, social media, interfaith dialogues, legislative conference and other educational events.
