About This Event

We are excited be apart of the Spokane Arts Queer Art Walk this Friday, the 3rd!

This year, we will be featuring Kaylie Pickup’s work! Join us Friday from 4PM-8PM! There will be beer, wine, and La Palomas served!

Kaylie Pickup is a painter, quilter, teacher, learner, gardener, and designer. They are continually inspired by the vibrant scenes of Hawaiʻi nei and the Pacific Northwest. They aim to inspire those who wish to explore their own unique, heartfelt expression.

Kaylie first began their creative journey curating intersectional feminist zines and auctioning their artwork in Brooklyn and LA to support the Standing Rock Movement. Kay then began studying oil painting and classical realism as a Kipaipai School of Art apprentice.

Kaylie’s works have been shown in juried shows such as the Maui Arts and Cultural Center Schaefer Portrait Challenge, the Wailoa Arts and Cultural Center’s Abstract-Only and Hawaiʻi Nei shows, and the HMOCA East Hawaii Cultural
Center’s “Home/Homeless” exhibit.
