This December, D2 Gallery & Studio is proud to present “Fleuron”, a new exhibit by Spokane artist Lauren Urlacher. In typography, a fleuron is a small floral ornament used to fill empty space. In this exhibit, Urlacher reverses that idea. Instead of a flower as decoration, in her stunningly rendered paintings, she makes the flower the focus, bold and commanding, full of volume and movement, and unafraid to take up space. Fleuron will open on First Friday, December 5th, from 5 to 8, and run until December 27th.
