About This Event

In conjunction with the city of Spokane’s annual Queer Art Walk, Trackside Studio is pleased to feature the sculptural works of J.Casey Doyle. Titled “Float On”, Casey’s exhibit of sculptural works opens on First Friday, June 3, 5 – 8 pm and also Saturday, June 4, noon to 4 pm. Exhibit continues through June 30th.
Casey is an Associate Professor of Art and Design at the University of Idaho. His studies have included an emphasis in Sculpture,Metals & Jewelry. He is the recipient of two Idaho Commission on the Arts Fellowships. His sculpture utilizes humor, popular culture, gender roles / stereotypes and sexuality. J.Casey Doyle explores the ambiguity of materials, scale, and color, and employs repetition as a form of meditation. He is a maker of objects and objects in motion.
