About This Event

Parkade Investors, with support from the Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP), is excited to celebrate the grand reopening of one of Spokane’s most iconic structures, The Parkade. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 1:00pm in the Parkade Plaza off Howard St. to mark the occasion. Speakers at the event will include Mayor Woodward; Ann Martin, daughter of Warren C. Heylman, original architect of The Parkade; DSP leadership; and Sam Daniels III, Parkade Investors, LLC. Food trucks and live music will also be part of the celebration from 11:00am – 2:00pm that day.

The Parkade was built in 1967 for $3.5 million as a private renewal project to service the downtown core of Spokane. It was purchased in late 2020 by an investment group with local ties and has since underwent extensive repairs, renovations, and upgrades to the entire building and its operating systems. Management is partnering with local businesses on a validation program for reduced pricing to park while dining, attending events, or working at local restaurants and bars in the evenings and weekends.  Current pricing and promotions can be found on the Parkade website.
