PAMELA CAUGHEY

ENCAUSTIC (HOT WAX!)

SMALL PIECES

Holy smokes, we’ve got ourselves some Encaustics!

Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, is a form of painting that involves a heated wax medium to which colored pigments have been added.

The molten mix is applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are sometimes used.

This type of painting is thousands of years old. It’s an especially difficult medium to master.

But Pamela has found a way to master it. She’s done the work. Over decades and decades.

See the gorgeous results of all her hard work this First Friday.

Pamela will be present. She’s a lovely person and a fantastic communicator.

You’ll be impressed for sure – by her art and by her. See you Friday, February 3rd!
