It’s First Friday time!
First Friday is one of the best things about Spokane. We hope you get out and see a bunch of different First Friday shows. There are all kinds of venues showing all kinds of artists.
There’s a place for every taste and skill level. If you’re looking for some stunning art from award-winning professionals, then Marmot is the place for you!
We are super excited to bring Keiko Hara back to Spokane! She has been described in the press as a “renowned artist” as well as an “internationally, renowned artist” as well as our favorite, a “world, renowned artist. The last time she showed here it was at a museum, of course. She’s a “museum quality“ artist. That’s as good as it gets folks.
Her most recent show regionally was down at the Schnitzer Museum at WSU. That show has closed, so you missed that opportunity; don’t miss this one!
Check out Keiko’s feature article in the The Spokesman-Review and the Inlander for more information about Keiko’s career and life experiences.
Yes, of course her work is in the Smithsonian. It’s also in important collections all over the world. And now it could be in yours Pretty cool. We’re so excited to bring her here to Spokane.
We will be showing nearly two dozen pieces. First Friday will be not just an excellent opportunity to see new work, but also an excellent opportunity to thank Keiko for her service to the arts community by teaching for 20+ years right here in the Pacific Northwest.
Come say, “Hi!” to her this First Friday, Oct 6th, 5-8pm, at Marmot Art Space. Doors open at 5 PM!
