Spark Central’s Salon is in its eighth year and, Spark is returning to our roots with the theme of this year’s event: “Rooted in Creativity”. Come celebrate Spark’s mission and help us to fund our programs aimed at removing barriers, so that everyone can access the resources needed to ignite their imagination and cultivate their creativity in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Attendees at our Hamilton Studios venue will be treated to an intimate event as they dine on delectable, locally-sourced food from Greenbluff Fresh Catering Co.; sip on drinks provided by sponsor Uprise Brewery, as well as from Barrister Winery; and are entertained by a pair of amazing students from one of our neighborhood youth programs, Level Up, interviewing our co-founder, renowned author Jess Walter about his work and his inspirations. Additionally, we will showcase participants from many of our other programs through their music, art, poetry and more, including performances by alums of our immensely popular Girls Rock Labs and a poetry reading by Aimee Brooks, a contributing author to our most recent book release, “Gondolas and Garbage Goats” (now on sale at Riverfront Park). But that’s not all! The evening will close with a small, live auction of a few elite auction items, ahead of the launch of our online auction fundraiser (October 19-26). Attendees can expect all of this and more during this unforgettable night.
