About This Event

Spokane Area Jewish Family Services is pleased to present our 19th annual Spokane Jewish Cultural Film Festival! SJCFF 2023 will take place Jan. 28-30 in person at the Jepson Center (Gonzaga University campus) and online Jan. 28-Feb. 5! We hope this festival will offer the best of both worlds: a return to Jepson, many opportunities for in-person schmoozing, and the thrill of watching great films on the big screen, but also the convenience of attending virtually for those who prefer or need to do so. This year we’re showing five feature films, three midlength films, and two shorts.

Spokane’s Jewish film festival enhances the cultural life of both the local Jewish community and our region as a whole. But it’s much more than just a cultural event: Festival proceeds directly support the human services work of JFS. The agency uplifts seniors, low-income clients, and people with disabilities through consultations, resource referrals, advocacy, home visits, food assistance, rent and utility assistance, transportation services, and our medical lending closet.

Since 2005, SJCFF has screened international films that share Jewish life and culture with the community. We continue this year with a collection of new and recent films that offer fascinating glimpses into the diversity of the Jewish experience.

For more information, please call 509-747-7394 or email Neal Schindler at director@sajfs.org. For details about the films, please visit the festival website at sjcff2023.eventive.org.
