Under the theme of “Beyond Words: Doing Justice,” The virtual Fig Tree benefit offers an opportunity to learn about The Fig Tree’s unique model of solutions journalism, as well as its efforts to connect people to resources and to each other through the annual Resource Directory. Guests also will hear about the annual Eastern Washington Legislative Conference, which The Fig Tree helps to plan.
The event will begin with leaders hosting Zoom gatherings with guests 20 minutes before the hour. They will then join the main program. There will be slides of the year of stories and resources. The program will begin at noon. Some speakers will be live, some pre-recorded. The annual video will offer input from additional supporters. Guests are invited to donate to support this year’s $34,000 income goal.
