A gathering for those navigating Mother’s Day without their mom. Join us for community, optional portraits, and space to simply be.
The Beauty of What Remains
Hara Allison Photography and Martha Domitrovich of The Supper Club are co-hosting this event.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Hara Allison losing her mom – the 40th year she’s experienced a motherless Mother’s Day.
To honor her memory, Hara and Martha are hosting a gathering for those navigating this holiday without their mom, whether she has passed away or is simply absent.
Hara’s studio will be open to gather, share food, and simply be with others who understand. No need to pretend. No need to explain.
For those who would like one, Hara is offering a complimentary simple portrait: just you and a chair. A few photos taken and later shared digitally.
If you’d like to bring a memento, something that reminds you of her, that’s cool. But you can also just show up, be with women who understand and be photographed or not.
You are welcome to simply come and be held by the presence of other women who understand.
