Policy Manager

The Policy Manager serves as an advocate for downtown Spokane and a key member of the DSP team. This role monitors and analyzes local, state, and federal policy, advises the President & CEO, and manages advocacy efforts that support a healthy downtown economy. The position also supports economic vitality initiatives and DSP membership retention and recruitment. DSP engages in nonpartisan advocacy, and the Policy Manager represents adopted policy positions without participating in partisan political activity.

Starting salary range for this position: $55,000-$70,000/annual (DOE)

Clean & Green Team Ambassador – Full, Seasonal, & Part-time

Responsible for year-round maintenance of public spaces in downtown, and
assisting with other duties as assigned.

  • Sidewalk sweeping and washing
  • Picking up litter
  • Planting and watering of downtown sidewalk planters
  • Graffiti removal/painting

Starting salary range for this position: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour (DOE)

Safety & Hospitality Ambassador – Seasonal, Part-time

The primary role of this position is to provide information and assistance to citizens and visitors to the area, as well as observe, intervene and report disorder problems.

  • Greet and engage with members of the public
  • Respond to inquiries for general information regarding downtown activities
  • Provide a visible uniformed presence to enhance the feeling of safety
  • Report and document disturbances, graffiti, vandalism, and other observed criminal activity

Salary range for this position: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour (DOE)
