Downtown economic insights to be highlighted at DSP’s Annual Meeting on Feb. 25
The Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) is pleased to announce an increase in downtown visitor activity to close out 2025, signaling continued progress in economic development and community vibrancy.
“It’s encouraging to see visitor foot traffic trending upward and we’re optimistic about keeping this momentum going and building on these gains in 2026,” said Emilie Cameron, DSP president and CEO. “Increased visitation brings more energy, vitality and opportunity to our downtown businesses and public spaces.”
Key highlights from the DSP’s data include:
- Q4 2025 visitor foot traffic to the Business Improvement District (BID) increased 5.4% compared to the same period in 2024, with over 3.2 million visits in that time.
- December visitation rose 6% year-over-year, continuing a strong holiday season trend.
- Local visitors remain the backbone of downtown holiday activity, with 77% of December visits coming from residents who live within 30 miles of downtown.
- December 13 marked the fourth most-visited day of 2025, with more than 74,000 visits to the BID. The peak coincided with major events including the second Saturday of Christmas Tree Elegance at the Historic Davenport and Terrain’s BrrrZAAR in River Park Square.
The data reflect the combined impact of community events and growing confidence among downtown investors, stakeholders and visitors, all contributing to a stronger, more vibrant destination for shopping, dining, arts and entertainment.
The DSP will elaborate on these insights and more at its Annual Meeting on February 25. Tickets are available now.
