Our hearts are with everyone affected by the Spokane Complex Fires.
After much thought, we’ve decided to postpone our official “Through the Lens” exhibition reception until September. Right now, it feels more important to come together in support of our community than to celebrate an exhibition.
Instead, this Friday, August 7, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, CLTRE Gallery will open its doors for a Community Art Fundraiser & Relief Drive.
We’ll be raising funds for our dear friend, teammate, and CLTRE’s photographer, Jordan Wertman, along with his wife Sammi and their growing family, who have their first baby on the way, who recently lost their home in the fires.
We’ll also be collecting essential donations for individuals and families affected by the wildfires, including clothes, nonperishable food, hygiene products, baby items, pet supplies, and other needed essentials.
Local artists are invited to donate artwork for our fundraiser. Some of the local artists whose work will be auctioned off include:

- Jordan Bardo
- Skyler Powell

- Matthew Wolf
- Mo Stach
- And more!
Participating artists may choose whether the proceeds from their donated piece benefit Jordan and his family or another wildfire-related cause that is meaningful to them, such as another affected family or a local relief organization. If you want to participate, please reach out to us.
Whether you come to donate supplies, bid on artwork, support local artists, or simply stand alongside your neighbors, we hope you’ll join us as we show what our community is all about. Reach out to us ahead of time if you want to bring donations the next couple of days. We will be open and accepting donations Wednesday 8/5 until 5 pm, Thursday 8/6 and Friday 8/7 8 to 5 pm (before the event).
