Renée creates large-scale abstract paintings that balance spontaneity, structure, and layered history. With a background in fine art and sculpture, she works intuitively with acrylic, collage, and drawing media, building richly textured surfaces and bold fields of color where gesture, erosion, and revision remain visible. Influenced by the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and the Mojave Desert where she grew up, as well as years spent in organic farming, Renée explores themes of nature, memory, presence, and the unconscious—allowing meaning to emerge through process, material, and trust in the unknown.
