About:

Street Music Week is a beloved annual community fundraiser that fills downtown Spokane, Spokane’s Garland District, and Coeur d’Alene with live music and performance art while raising critical support for 2nd Harvest Inland Northwest. Held each year during the second full week of June, the event features hundreds of volunteer musicians, dancers, and performers who take to sidewalks and public spaces during the lunch hour to collect donations for local hunger relief efforts.

Founded in 2002 by former Spokesman-Review columnist Doug Clark, Street Music Week has grown from a one-person busking effort into a regional tradition involving more than 300 performers. To date, the event has raised more than $240,000 for 2nd Harvest, helping provide hundreds of tons of food to families across the Inland Northwest. Open to performers of all ages, skill levels, and artistic disciplines, Street Music Week celebrates community generosity through the power of live performance.
