Educate, Entertain & Get Stuff Done (EEG) proudly announces Soulfood & Sips 2025, a new community event celebrating African American culture, food, and music this Saturday, August 30, in Downtown Spokane.

Inspired by Spokane’s popular Tacos & Tequila Festival, Soulfood & Sips will highlight diversity and inclusion through soulful flavors, live performances, and cultural storytelling.

Highlights of the festival include:

  • Cuisine from around the globe: Soul food, Southern BBQ, French Creole, Ethiopian, and more.
  • Live music all day long: Reggae, Gospel, Hip Hop, and Jazz.
  • Cultural connections: An African American history booth, craft vendors, and a kids’ play area.
  • Community gathering spaces: A beer, wine, and whiskey garden.

“Soulfood & Sips is more than just a food and music festival, it’s an opportunity to come together, embrace our differences, and celebrate community,” said Julie Serquinia, EEG organizer. With support from cultural organizations, NAACP chapters, and Black Student Unions across the Inland Northwest, the event will welcome attendees from Spokane, Tri-Cities, Yakima, Pullman, Cheney, Kootenai County, and beyond.

  • Location: Wall Street Between Spokane Falls Blvd and Post Street
  • Date: Saturday, August 30, 2025, 12 PM- 7 PM
  • Cost: Free and open to the public

This event is made possible with support from Numerica Credit Union as part of the Mini Cultural Event Grant program presented by the Downtown Spokane Partnership.
