The City of Spokane Arts Commission is pleased to present Traversing, an exhibition by Idaho artists Sally Graves Machlis and Delphine Keim at the Chase Gallery in Spokane City Hall. The exhibition will be on view September 4 – October 30, 2026, with a free public opening reception on September 4th from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Painter, Sally Graves Machlis, and graphic designer, Delphine Keim, combine their sensibilities within their mixed media work. The artists invite reflection through ambiguity, validation, and even dismay. The work focuses on the commonalities that we all share and explores environmental, social and personal issues.
Both artists are scheduled to be present during the September 4th First Friday reception at the Chase Gallery. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet Machlis and Keim and learn more about the stories and processes behind their collaborative work. There will also be poets from the Teen Poetry Cohort at Spark Central reading their work throughout the evening.
