The Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) released its 2026 Spokane County Ballot Guide, providing voters with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about their vision and priorities for downtown Spokane.

“Downtown is impacted by decisions made at every level of government, and it is important that our members and stakeholders understand where candidates stand on the issues that matter to our urban core,” says Emilie Cameron, President and CEO of the DSP.

While the DSP does not endorse candidates, the organization collects responses each year from candidates running for elected offices that represent downtown Spokane. The DSP encourages voters to review candidate responses before making decisions at the ballot box in November.

The questionnaire was developed around the priorities outlined in the DSP’s 2026 Policy Platform: economic vitality, housing, public safety, a vibrant downtown experience, and connecting people to the help they need. Questions were tailored to the responsibilities of each office, so not all candidates received all questions.

Responses are published in their entirety online, and participation is noted for each candidate in the guide. Continued Cameron, “These responses provide an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about their priorities for downtown and how they would approach those issues if elected.”
