Celebrating Service, Community, and Connection

This Veterans Day, Downtown Spokane invites everyone to pause, reflect, and celebrate the men and women who have served our country. Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, or a supporter looking to give thanks, downtown offers meaningful ways to show appreciation, from coffee shops offering a warm cup of gratitude to local businesses led by those who’ve served.

Twenty Seventh Heaven Bakery: Veteran-Owned

A true Spokane gem, Twenty Seventh Heaven Bakery is proudly veteran-owned and operated. Known for their decadent pastries, artisan breads, and friendly neighborhood feel, this bakery brings heart and purpose to every bite. Stop by to grab your favorite treat and thank the owner Lydia for her service, both in the kitchen and in uniform.

Late Arrival Club: Veteran-Owned

Late Arrival Club is a members-only private club featuring a refined cigar lounge and social space in the heart of downtown Spokane. Its founders — all connected through the Personnel Recovery and SERE Specialist community — chose to honor their shared legacy by naming their space The Late Arrival Club. The name reflects a powerful message: it’s never too late to connect, to build community, and to celebrate the values of resilience and camaraderie that define their service.
