The Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) invites talented local artists to participate in Brushes and
Boughs, a holiday art and giving activation taking place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, during the
Merry & Magical Lane Lighting Event!
We’re seeking ten artists to create unique, live-painted holiday trees — each paired with a local
nonprofit, either by nonprofit request or through DSP matching. Together, artists and nonprofits will
celebrate Spokane’s creative and giving spirit in the heart of downtown.
How It Works
• Live tree painting: Artists will paint their trees live on Saturday, November 22, along Post Street
during the Merry & Magical Lane Lighting Event.
• Public display & voting: Trees will be displayed from November 29–December 21 at 818 W Riverside
Ave, where visitors can vote for their favorite by scanning QR codes at each display.
• Give back: The winning artist’s paired nonprofit will receive a $500 donation to support their
community impact.
