Get ready to shake your shamrock this First Friday, March 7, as Spokane’s monthly art walk welcomes a glimmer of spring and an exciting lineup of local artists, live music, and creative experiences. With highs expected in the 50s, it’s the perfect night to stroll downtown, explore new exhibits, and celebrate Spokane’s arts scene.

This month, Marmot Art Space marks its 10th Anniversary, a milestone for Spokane’s commercial art community—stop by between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. to celebrate with award-winning artists. Chase Gallery at City Hall presents Outsider Art, a compelling exhibition showcasing artists who create outside traditional frameworks, reflecting diverse and raw perspectives. At Avenue West Gallery, enjoy an artist reception for painter John Sebastian and photographer Amy Calkins, with live music by Jonathan Nicholson.

For those who love live music with their art, Bistango Martini Lounge will feature a performance by Carson Floyd, setting the perfect lounge atmosphere for the evening. Meanwhile, Symons Block Building hosts handcrafted wood artist Jen Pendle, plus live music by Erin Parkes and a DJ set by Rosethrow at Emma Rue’s.

Other must-visit stops include Helix Tasting Room, where Michael Dinning’s mixed-media storytelling is on display all month, and Entropy, where large-scale watercolor landscapes take center stage. Over at Liberty Gallery, artists Melissa Dingfield and Megan Perkins showcase Spokane’s beauty through oil and watercolor.

Round out your First Friday by catching the final night of 2025 Inlander Restaurant Week, with nearly 50 downtown restaurants offering special dining experiences.

About First Friday
First Friday Spokane launched in November of 2003 in partnership between the Downtown Spokane Partnership and Spokane Arts Commission. Today, venues across downtown participate each month to bring visitors to our city center and promote arts patronage in our region for the opportunity to see if first, hear it first, and find it first. First Friday always occurs on the First Friday of the month with official hours from 5:00 to 8:00pm. For a full list of activities and artists visit www.firstfridayspokane.org.
