It’s called “Team Building Day.” Each year for one day, the accountants of Eide Bailly take time out to gather together to create community in the workplace.
The day commences in a team building activity. This year the team at Eide Bailly chose to partner with Downtown Spokane to leave a lasting impact on the neighborhood they call their work home. The Spokane office of about 70 staff have worked in the Spokesman-Review building at the corner of Riverside and Monroe for the last five years.
In conjunction with the Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP), staff will be creating a variety of items that can be used for the enjoyment of the public, including customized game cubes, modular patio fencing that doubles as a planter, a series of corn hole games and painted pianos available for spontaneous sidewalk music.
“Being in downtown places our staff in the center of the Spokane community,” says Eide Bailly Marketing Coordinator, Tessa Anderson. “This year, we wanted to give something back.”
As the project manager for downtown’s Business Improvement District, staff at the DSP work to create a neighborhood that is an exciting and vibrant place to work. “Part of our mission is to engage the businesses that make downtown their work home,” says DSP Business Relations Manager, Kelly Blyth. “We were thrilled that Eide Bailly chose downtown as the partner for their service activity, and wanted to provide an experience that would leave a long-term impact on downtown.”
Elisabeth Hooker, DSP Marketing and Programming Director says, “We have a lot of big ideas with a small team and those ideas are not always achievable. We were honored to be approached by Eide Bailly and appreciate their willingness to be creative.”
The group will be assembled on Wall Street between Main and Riverside on Thursday, July 25 between 1:00 and 4:00pm to create their projects. When complete, the finished products will be deployed along Wall Street and be made available to other public spaces in the downtown Business Improvement District (BID).
“You just might find yourself having a little unexpected fun, courtesy of Eide Bailly” says Hooker.
