It’s difficult to describe therapy. Each person is different, thus the interactions are different. Even the interactions between the same person and therapist vary as our feelings, thoughts, and experiences are in a constant state of flux.
I’ve been joking with friends lately about a T-shirt I recently saw: “I’m in that awkward stage between birth and death.” There’s three reasons I like it. It’s humorous. It’s honest. And whoever originally wrote it, was leaning into whatever it was they were experiencing in the moment.
While it’s impossible to describe exactly what your time will be like should you come for a visit – I hope to provide humor, honesty, and a spirit of leaning-in as part of the experience.
