Downtown Spokane is transforming into a winter wonderland this holiday season, inviting everyone to experience the magic of the season with dazzling events, exclusive deals, and heartwarming holiday traditions.
Each year, the Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) spends months preparing for the holidays, working with partners and ratepayers to decorate downtown streets, create special deals and discounts for visitors and organize holiday events and activities for the whole family.
“The holidays are the most important time of year for downtown retailers and restaurants,” said DSP President and CEO Emilie Cameron. “This year we wanted to make the experience extra special for our visitors.”

Stunning Holiday attractions
The showstopper of the season is the debut of Merry & Magical Lane on Post Street, a collaboration between the DSP and Visit Spokane. This enchanting new attraction, featuring lights, seasonal décor and family-friendly activities, is part of the DSP’s ongoing efforts to enhance the downtown experience. Merry & Magical Lane also extends into a newly-lit pedestrian alley between Post and Lincoln, with future improvements planned for 2025.
“Downtown is shining bright this holiday season with new lighting, festive decorations, activities, and special deals all season long,” said Cameron. “We’re excited to partner with Visit Spokane to create a unique and welcoming new experience for Spokane to make holiday memories together. This project is just the beginning of exciting plans for future activations to improve visitor experiences and further enhance the feeling of safety so that visitors, employees and residents continue to enjoy downtown all year long.”
Merry & Magical Lane is made possible with private funding from the Downtown Spokane Partnership and Visit Spokane with contributions from Spokane Transit Authority, Washington Trust Bank, Davenport Hotels, and River Park Square, in partnership with the City of Spokane and support from local companies DCI Engineering, RenCorp Building Services, and Rainbow Electric.
