Christmas Tree Elegance volunteers have worked hard this year to create plans for 15 trees for an event that has become a holiday tradition as well as a major fundraiser for the Spokane Symphony. It will be held Dec. 3-15.
Nine trees will fill the mezzanine of the Historic Davenport Hotel with prizes that include $4,500 Cash, a play castle, a 50-inv TV with XBox and much more. Six trees will line River Park Square’s second floor east wing with prizes that include $4,000 cash, Spotlight on Spokane featuring tickets to entertainment and gift certificates to restaurants and more.
In 2023, more than 462,000 of the $1 raffle tickets were sold to visitors who came from across the inland Northwest. The first Christmas Tree Elegance in 1983 featured six trees and raised $10,000.
The Christmas Tree Elegance Holiday Luncheons will be held on Dec. 11 and 12 in the Grand Pennington Ballroom at the Historic Davenport Hotel. Entertainment will be provided by Spokane Symphony Music Director James Lowe and members of the Symphony playing a selection of holiday favorites.
