In January 2025, the Liberty Gallery features “Portray a Poem”, a group show of local artists who turn words into images to portray the heart and soul of a favorite poem.
Sometimes a poem will strike a chord in the imagination. This is what our local artists have found as they turn words into expressive images to portray the inspiration, humor, empowerment, tragedy, or spectacular beauty of their chosen poem. Each artist’s favorite medium is used to create their piece, including digital art; acrylic, watercolor or oil; mixed mediums; stained glass; and fabric quilting.
This show will run from Dec 29th through Jan 25th at the Liberty Gallery, located in the Liberty Building located at the First Friday Reception to Meet the Artist on Jan 3rd, from 5-8:30pm.
