Join us in downtown Spokane on April 5, 2019 for First Friday. This month 37 venues are participating in the monthly art walk. Most venues open from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. For a full list of activities and artists visit firstfridayspokane.org.

Nine locations will be participating in Spokane Arts’ SATURATE, a city-wide collaboration calling attention to Spokane’s diverse yet under-recognized artists of color. For the entire month of April, many arts venues large and small will simultaneously feature artwork, curatorial projects, and performances led by people of color.

The featured April First Friday poster artist is Stacie Boyer. Boyer is Co-Owner of The Art Lab Spokane – a creative venture that hosts mobile art classes along with designing and painting murals. Stacie is a multi-dimensional artist who has studied at The Rocky Mt. College of Art & Design and The Art Institute of Seattle. She works primarily in Illustration and graphic design. In addition to her design and painting work, Stacie has illustrated three children’s stories. A collectible poster of her work, “It’s Good to Be Home,“ can be found at the downtown Spokane Library during First Friday. Find out more about Boyer and her work at www.TheArtLabSpokane.com.

About First Friday
Downtown First Friday launched in November of 2003 in conjunction with the Spokane Arts Commission. Today, over 50 downtown venues participate each month to bring visitors to downtown, and promote arts patronage in our region. First Friday always occurs on the First Friday of the month with the exception of February and October, when First Friday and the Visual Arts Tour merge to become a city-wide arts tour presented by Spokane Arts.
