About This Event

Gonzaga Theatre Presents: SFB
Written by Aaron Posner
Sort of adapted from THE SEAGULL by Anton Chekhov
Directed by Blake Anthony Edwards

SFB, a (post-)modern re-telling of Russian playwright Anton Chekhov’s 1895 masterpiece The Seagull, asks us what it means to create art. Is it an act of personal fulfillment? An act of service to others? An act of love? And speaking of love… actually, don’t get us started. Dev loves Mash, Mash loves Con, Con loves Nina, Nina loves Trigorin, Trigorin loves himself. What is the role of love in art? And what is the role of art in love?
