Aaron Smith, a Spokane-based artist, finds inspiration in the beauty of his surroundings, especially as the city celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Spokane World’s Fair. His urban landscapes capture scenes of Spokane at magical times; from the high rushing water of the Spokane River to the spectacular fireworks in Riverfront Park. Aaron also creates images of fantastical realms, creating whole new worlds and exploring where diverse worlds collide in a celebration of imagination. You can enjoy Aaron’s paintings at the Liberty Gallery from May 26 – June 29 in the Historic Liberty Building ; the opening night First Friday reception to Meet the Artist is June 7 from 5-8pm.
