    The Downtown Spokane Partnership is proud to present “30 Minutes With:”, a recurring series of virtual, 30-minute question and answer sessions with local industry experts on the most pressing topics of the day. Sessions are hosted on Zoom, and free to attend.

    Featured will be Jemma Riedel, Education and Outreach Advocate for the YWCA Spokane. Jemma will discuss domestic violence and how your business can better its awareness and proactivity to this important issue. Jemma will also provide information on the YWCA, its services, and how your business can get involved this October for Domestic Violence Action Month.

    30 Minutes with: Kim Davis

    The Downtown Spokane Partnership is proud to present “30 Minutes With:”, a recurring series of virtual, 30-minute question and answer sessions with local industry experts on the most pressing topics of the day. Sessions are hosted on Zoom, and free to attend.

    In this session, Kim Davis will present Embedding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Organizational Practices. During this webinar, Kim will go over key areas of your organization where diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts should be implemented. In addition, Kim will provide tips for creating belonging in the workplace which is essential to a positive organizational culture.

    Bio: Kim Davis is a professional in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion and is a skilled facilitator of difficult conversations. She has 29-year background in human resources with specialties in diversity, equity and inclusion, equal opportunity, affirmative action and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance. Kim has a Master’s degree in Cultural and Organizational Communication, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. Kim currently serves as the Senior Director for Diversity and Inclusion at Eastern Washington University, as well as teaching human resources classes for the University. Kim offers diversity, equity and inclusion consulting, and customized training and workshops, through her company, K Davis & Associates.

    30 Minutes with: Nate Bryant

    The Downtown Spokane Partnership is proud to present “30 Minutes With:”, a recurring series of virtual, 30-minute question and answer sessions with local industry experts on the most pressing topics of the day. Sessions are hosted on Zoom, and free to attend.

    Presenting in this session will be Nate Bryant, Director of the Career Center at Eastern Washington University.

    Nate will be discussing the importance of applied experience to help students explore career interests and better bridge the gap between their educational and professional careers. Attendees will learn about the many options available, the ways in which community partners can support this process, and what mutual benefits come with these opportunities for businesses and our community.

    30 Minutes with: Cyndi Donahue

    The Downtown Spokane Partnership is proud to present “30 Minutes With:”, a recurring series of virtual, 30-minute question and answer sessions with local industry experts on the most pressing topics of the day. Sessions are hosted on Zoom, and free to attend.

    Presenting will be Cyndi Donahue, Community Engagement Director for Ignite Northwest. Cyndi will present on start-ups, and the resources and programs Ignite offers to help entrepreneurs.

    Ignite Northwest funds, mentors and enlightens entrepreneurs in the Spokane region. This non-profit economic development organization has a $4.4 million loan fund program that enables Spokane-based startups develop and market innovative products. Ignite produces enlightening programs such as Ignite Talks and Lofty Lunches to assist founders in creating and growing scalable startups.

    Bio: Cyndi has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience and spends her time connecting people and creating community. She previously worked for Clear Channel Communications, Proctor & Gamble, Friedman Fleischer & Lowe and the Spokane Club. Cyndi earned her BA in Communication from University of California, Santa Barbara. She was honored to be a recipient of Spokane Coeur D'Alene Living magazine's 2019 Top 20 Women in Business Leadership award and graduated the Leadership Spokane program in 2020.  Cyndi is a Fairchild Airforce Base Honorary Commander for the 92nd Air Refueling Wing.
