    30 Minutes with Carly Cortright: The New Landscape of Events in Spokane

    On April 8 the Downtown Spokane Partnership will host another episode in its series of virtual, 30-minute question and answer sessions with local industry experts on the most pressing topics of the day. Sessions will be hosted on Zoom, and free to attend.

    Featured from the City of Spokane will be Carly Cortright, Director of Community Programs, joined by Cendy Pfortmiller, Community Engagement Program Manager. Together they will discuss changes in event planning that have been made or are being proposed over the last year in response to the pandemic, and what the Spokane community can expect moving forward.

    The Downtown Spokane Partnership is proud to present “30 Minutes With:”, a recurring series of virtual, 30-minute question and answer sessions with local industry experts on the most pressing topics of the day. Sessions are hosted on Zoom, and free to attend.

    Featured will be Lee Williams, CEO of Community-Minded Enterprises. Lee will discuss her organization's current efforts to identify and address issues related to childcare that are presenting challenges to both employees and employers as the economy continues its path to reopening.

    Lee focuses on lifelong learning and helping others to realize their potential and is passionate about building relationships and serving her community. She has 30 years of management experience including early learning, human services and advocacy focused on building communities with a focus on education, early learning and community systems building, and advocacy. As the Chief Executive Officer for Community-Minded Enterprises she works to further develop services that serve marginalized communities to attain health and educational equity.

    The Downtown Spokane Partnership is proud to present “30 Minutes With:”, a recurring series of virtual, 30-minute question and answer sessions with local industry experts on the most pressing topics of the day. Sessions are hosted on Zoom, and free to attend.

    Featured will be Karen Fritz, director of the Downtown Spokane Clean Team. Karen will discuss the role the Clean Team plays in maintaining and beautifying the Business Improvement District's aesthetic, as well as current and upcoming special projects as Spokane moves from spring to summer.

    The Downtown Spokane Partnership is proud to present “30 Minutes With:”, a recurring series of virtual, 30-minute question and answer sessions with local industry experts on the most pressing topics of the day. Sessions are hosted on Zoom, and free to attend.

    Featured will be Dave Black, CEO of NAI Black. As Spokane continues on its path towards reopening, Dave will discuss current and projected trends for the local workforce, particularly with regard to the return to the workplace. Dave will address some of the perceived obstacles or deterrents to returning to on-site work, as well as the impacts that come from those decisions employers and employees and currently navigating.
