As the Merry & Magical holiday season winds down, the Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) has been spreading festive cheer through a variety of downtown activities and promotions designed to invite the community to experience the magic of the city’s core. Several of these holiday favorites wrapped up this past weekend, and DSP is pleased to announce the winners.
Holiday Display Contest, Presented by Visit Spokane
Riverfront Park was not the only place dressed for the season. The Holiday Display Contest, presented by Visit Spokane, transformed downtown storefronts into festive works of art. More than a dozen businesses created joyful, holiday-themed window displays, inviting visitors to explore downtown and vote for their favorites. Nearly 500 votes were cast by the public during the three-week contest with the award going to Flatstick Pub!
Winning displays can be viewed through the end of the year during a visit downtown.
Among those who voted, five individuals were selected at random to receive a $50 River Park Square (RPS) gift card good at most RPS merchants.
Congratulations to:
- Emery Johnson
- Amy Baxter
- Caden Ware
- Craig Brownlee
- Janine Simpson
Kids Holiday Hunt presented by RenCorp Realty
A beloved tradition for downtown families, the Kids Holiday Hunt returned this season with festive fun. Children used a holiday passport to search for seven hidden figures at 14 participating downtown businesses. After finding the location for all seven characters, participants submitted their passports for a chance to win a family prize pack valued at more than $300 each. Three winners were selected at random from the completed entries.

Throughout the season, hand-painted holiday trees were on display at Lincoln Plaza, 818 W. Riverside Avenue. Each tree was paired with a local nonprofit, and the community voted for their favorite. Congratulations to Jason Cochran, whose tree earned a $500 donation for their partner nonprofit, Family Promise of Spokane, courtesy of the Innovia Foundation.
