On Saturday, August 22nd, retailers across the downtown core will move their inventory out into the fresh air for a downtown-wide sidewalk sale event.

This year more than ever, small businesses need support as they begin to recover from the devastating financial impacts caused by the pandemic. This event is intended to allow Spokanites the opportunity to safely and responsibly shop and support some of their favorite local businesses, while enjoying a variety of discounted merchandise and other promotions.

While these businesses are routinely taking extra safety precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in their establishments, moving stock to outdoor spaces allows for increased social distancing and lower overall risk for patrons.

“Retail shops have had to create new ways to work with customers,” says Mark Richard, President & CEO of the Downtown Spokane Partnership. “This event is a great chance for people that aren’t down here on a daily basis to see what’s going on with the city’s reopening.”

Participating retailers will continue to adhere to all Phase 2 safety regulations, and similarly patrons will be asked to wear masks and keep to best health practices while shopping.

    Participating businesses include:

  • Garland Resale Boutique
  • The Yuppy Puppy
  • Lolo Boutique
  • Bloem
  • Pinot’s Palette
  • Decorum Gifts
  • Work Well Consultants
